Who We Are
Fairy Floss is our new spin on an old favorite. Loved by children and adults, cotton candy has been a fair staple since its debut at the 1904 World‘s Fair.
Fairy floss takes the classic candy a step further by pairing adult flavors with an eco-friendly small business model. Started in Vancouver, WA by the Scheans-Nichols family in 2010, Fairy Floss is an organic, vegan, gluten-free, treat that adults and children can enjoy.
Green Business Model
Fairy Floss is dedicated to keeping our business as green as possible, while making our sweets accessible to a wide variety of taste buds and dietary needs, utilizing the minimum packaging necessary to keep your treats safe. Portland Parks and Recreations has special requirements for recyclable packaging, we 100% conform to their requirements.
Our business is based on the premise that a treat doesn’t need to have artificial flavors or colors to satisfy. Our cotton candy is organic, vegan, fair trade, made with natural flavors and without artificial coloring. We know you’ll be able to taste the difference!
A single serving of our delicious cotton candy won’t put a dent in your diet, either – a one ounce cone weighs in at approximately 100 calories, as compared to the 150-300 calories found in a can of soda, and that’s from real sugar, not high fructose corn syrup.
Childlike Whimsy, Grown-Up Taste
The unique flavors of Fairy Floss are our personal recipe, blends of several different flavor notes to create grown up and whimsical flavors that everyone can enjoy. Whether it’s a Tipsy Pixie cocktail flavor (non alcoholic) or one of our many other Spun Sugar Sensations, we have a wide range of different tastes available to create a palate ranging from fresh fruit to creamy decadence.
